August 28th: Welcome Reception “Book Club” Presentation Yitref Residence 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM Preview Aklilu Habte-Wold’s Accomplishments and Contributions to Ethiopia (Dawit/ Mesfin) Understanding the NEW Amharic “Colloquial Language” (Mesfin Teffera) Let’s sip Gin and Juice and dance all night (“Snoop-Dog”) Fri. August 29th: Microsoft Company Tour Microsoft Campus 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM The Microsoft Visitor Center is located at 15010 NE 36th Street, Redmond, WA 98052, in Building 92, adjacent to the main campus of Microsoft corporate headquarters Welcome Dinner Mizuki Restaurant 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM We will meet at Embassy Suites “Managers Reception” Menu include, 20 sushi, 15 fish varieties, 12 vegetarian dishes, roast, ribs .... If you can’t find something to eat you must be from W. Virginia or Silver Springs, Maryland After dinner, we will arrange a tour of “Local Hot-Spots” for the “Night Owls”. Sat. August 30th: Annual Meeting, Tour and Dinner Embassy Suites 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM We will meet at Embassy Suites “Breakfast Area” Meeting Room “Rainier” – Agenda will be sent out under separate cover No “Knuckle Heads”… stick to the agenda … no nonsense meeting Tour of Boeing – Everett Facility 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour Boeing Direction is located in Mukilteo, Wash., 25 miles north of Seattle. EMP: A Museum of Hendrix, Nirvana (alternate) Direction to Jimi Hendrix Museum EMP was started when Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, a huge Hendrix fan, began looking for a place to donate his collection of memorabilia from the life and career of the Seattle-born musician. Elias Negash’s special impromptu performance is rumored to be unveiled at this venue !! Dinner at Solomon Alemayehu’s Residence 4:00 PM – 2:00AM Dinner will be a “Vegetarian Delight”, serving succulent wild mushrooms, ass-paragons, broccoli, Chinese short peckers and served steamed or roasted over open fire! As an alternate, we will serve fried green tomatoes, eggplant, bibimbap, Napa cabbage, miso soup and kimchi. After dinner, we will arrange a tour of “Local Hot-Spots” for the “Night Owls”.. Sun. August 31st: Walkathon Seward Park 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM We will meet at Embassy Suites “Breakfast Area” Walkathon will be at Seward Park Direction to Seward Park Breakfast for participants (and sponsors) will be provided Yohannes tadesse and Family!! Tour of Seattle – Two Local Tours will be arranged 11:00 PM – 3:00 PM We will provide tour, transportation and guide for those interested in Local attractions, Bill Speidel's Underground Tour … a leisurely, guided walking tour beneath Seattle's sidewalks and streets. Pike Place Market is a public market overlooking the Elliott Bay waterfront in Seattle. Barbecue Lunch/ Dinner Yitref’s Residence 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM We will serve Sheep, Goat, Beef, Venison and Chicken, we will also have any leftovers from Solomon’s house for vegans and vegetarians!! After dinner, we will arrange a tour of “Local Hot-Spots” for the “Night Owls”.
